HBCU Program

Preparing Future Leaders

The Center for Racial Equity Internship Program will introduce students from Florida’s four Historically Black Colleges and Universities to the affordable housing development and finance fields to increase representation of Black and other minority professionals in the field. The program will provide mentoring and leadership opportunities to students in select majors to prepare students for careers in housing, community development and finance with the public and private, for profit or nonprofit sectors. It will simultaneously further the work of the Center for Racial Equity. We anticipate opening applications to students in Fall 2021 for a Spring 2022 program start.

If you are interested in participating in the Internship Program as an employer, mentor, or any other capacity and would like more information, please contact Johnitta Wells at [email protected]
